Tire Clean-Up Event

5/3/2017

Picture
The Municipality of Carlisle and Franklin Township will be hosting a joint tire clean-up event for both communities the week of May 15th-20th. The Municipality of Carlisle received a generous grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency which allows for residents to drop off unwanted tires at no cost. Collected tires will be sent to recycling facilities where they are shredded into chips, which are primarily used for energy-related and civil engineering applications such as asphalt, rubber mulch, playground surfaces, fuel hoses, and other products. This is a great way to help the environment as well as avoid possible zoning citations. The tire amnesty program will only be honored from May 15th through the 20th at the Franklin Township Garage at 458 Fairview Drive, Carlisle OH. Click Read More below for drop-off dates and times.
