Mayor declares October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Mayor Randy Winkler declared October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month by reading a proclamation at the October 11 Village Council Meeting.  Mayor Winkler stated that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is a platform for education of the importance of early detection.  Mayor Winkler encouraged all residents, businesses, organizations, and other interested groups to join in activities that will increase awareness to prevent breast cancer.

Mayor Randy Winkler declared October 9 through October 15 as Fire Prevention Week and read a proclamation at the October 11 Village Council Meeting.  Mayor Winkler encouraged all residents of Carlisle to replace the batteries in their smoke detectors and replace all smoke detectors after 10 years to help increase their safety from fires.

Fire Department to Host Open House

​The Carlisle Fire Department will be hosting an open house at the Fire Department to kick off National Fire Prevention Week.The event takes place at the Carlisle Fire Station—367 Lincoln Drive – on Monday, October 10th, 5:30 pm-8:30 pm.

Come meet your local firefighters and learn valuable information about what you can do to practice fire safety all year long.
