SERVICE

department information
City maintenance is managed by the Carlisle Service Department. The Carlisle Service Department is responsible for:
  • All street repair and maintenance
  • Snow removal operations
  • Pavement markings

  • Operation and maintenance of the water distribution system
  • Operation and maintenance of the sewer collection system
  • Maintenance and upkeep of storm water systems, consisting mainly of dry wells
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all City parks, grounds, cemeteries, and facilities

Water treatment is provided under contract by the City of Franklin. Sewage treatment is provided via a regional treatment facility owned by the Franklin Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, which serves the communities of Carlisle, Franklin, and Germantown, as well as other portions of Warren County.

The department is organized into one combined public service department, consisting of four (4) full-time and one (1) part-time seasonal employee.

The department’s goal is to continue providing basic services to our community within a reasonable time frame. The daily objective is to prevent any or all services from being interrupted; and, if interruptions do occur, to execute measures to minimize the disruption.

The Service Department can be reached by phone at 937.746.2675, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. In the case of an emergency, call Warren County Dispatch at 937.425.2525. For utility problems, the Utility Clerk can also be contacted at 937.746.0555.
