Long-time Carlisle Official Retires

5/6/2016

Picture
Greg Wallace, Planning/Zoning Administrator has retired after over 22 years of public service with the Village of Carlisle. Mr. Wallace has served the community in various positions because as is true with most small communities, employees wear "many hats" and Mr. Wallace has held the positions of Fire Chief to Service Director to Interim City Manager. Residents may also remember him as the "Master Hot Dog Roaster" at the Police Department's National Night Out event held every August at Roscoe Roof Park. "Mr. Wallace was a dedicated public servant to the citizens of Carlisle and his expertise and corporate knowledge will be missed," said Village Manager Sherry Callahan. Greg has always had a willingness to do whatever was asked of him. "From floods to snow, Greg was always the first one to be there when we needed help," said Service Director Dan Casson. Retirement usually means travel, hobbies, or volunteering, but not so with Greg. Mr. Wallace will be the new Executive Director of the Montgomery County Fair and we wish him the best of luck in this new endeavor. (Pic. Greg Wallace and Mayor Randy Winkler)
