The municipality hosts several community events throughout the year. Read more information about these events below — and come join us!
Memorial Day Parade
In order to honor the Village’s members of the United States Armed Forces, both past and present, a parade is held every Memorial Day at the end of May, with a commemorative ceremony to follow at the New Jersey Presbyterian Church.
National Night Out
National Night Out is “an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.” On the first Tuesday in August, we invite citizens to come and get to know our police and fire departments with a series of fun activities at Roscoe Roof Park. You may even find a council member or two grilling complementary hot dogs. Don’t miss out on the fun!
Railroad Days Festival & Parade
Carlisle Railroad Days is held on the 3rd weekend in August (from Friday evening through Saturday evening) each year. Beginning in 2016, The Carlisle High School Band Boosters will host the event, and will strive to ensure that the festival will be safe and enjoyable for all of our guests.
The Carlisle Local School District graciously allows the festival to take place on the grounds of Chamberlain Middle School, where local organizations have food booths and local vendors sell crafts and other items. A parade on Saturday morning is filled with representatives from youth sports, school groups and local businesses. Throughout Friday night and all day Saturday, there will also be featured local entertainment on the main stage. All of our entertainers perform for free, and we greatly appreciate the donation of their time and talents.
Please join us for a fun-filled weekend of great food, local crafts and excellent entertainment!

Veterans Day Celebration
In honor of our service men and women, Mayor Winkler and the Carlisle Village Council invite all veterans and active duty personnel to attend an annual Veterans Day Celebration in November. The event is typically held in Carlisle High School Choir/Lecture Room, prior to the regular meeting of the Carlisle Village Council.
The event includes several guest speakers, military displays, and musical guests. Food and refreshments are also served. The event is free and open to the public. Special recognition will be given to all veterans and active duty personnel who attend. Spouses, family and friends are encouraged to attend, as well.
Registration forms, found both here and at Town Hall, should be filled out in advance, in order to ensure that sufficient amounts of food and drinks will be available.

Holiday Tree Lighting
The holiday season doesn’t truly begin in Carlisle until the annual Holiday Memorial Tree Lighting! Each year, the community gathers at Town Hall to witness the ceremonial lighting of our decorated pine tree — both to celebrate the seasonal festivities, and to honor an important member of the community who has passed on in the last year. Entertainment and refreshments are typically provided by local school and church groups.
